friday, oct. 23 @ 9 pm Sergei Varshavsky presents Aelita, an early  (1924) post-soviet science fiction film. directed by Yakov Protozanov. translations by Sergei Varshavsky, introduction by John Smalley.


friday, nov. 6 @ 9 pm russian poet Dmitry Golynko & Poets Address: St. Petersburg a film by Brice Hobbs & Rebecca Bella.

in film: "Poets Address: St. Petersburg" and poetry reading: Dmitry Golynko in the movie, sixteen poets read about love, hunger, underwear, rollerskating, the cosmos, the dacha...and poetry itself. shot in 2004 in an apartment overlooking the Neva. by Brice Hobbs and Rebecca Bella. in real life, Dmitry Golynko, wildly experimental post-soviet poet who is visiting from st. petersburg will read in russian and english.
